Tapovanashramam is located at the adjacent plot of Sri Kalatharakkonam Devi Temple Edaykode, Nemom, Thiruvananthapuram. It was established by Muraleedhara Swami. After the samadhi of the founder, the ashramam was managed by Tapovanashramam Trust. This Trust, unable to run the affairs , handed over all the assets to Sri Sankara Charitable Trust in 2018 and there after it is functioning as a unit of Sri Sankara Charitable Trust.

Daily pooja is performed in the Samadhi Mandir of Sri Muraleedhara Swami. In addition to the regular classes and satsangas by Brahmachari Poorna Chaithanya, there are monthly Vedanta classes by Swami Chidananda Puri and Swamini Sivananda Puri.
