Sri Sankara Charitable Trust was formed in the year 2003 to work widely and meaningfully in our society to spread Sanatana Dharma and render services in our society. Swami Chidananda Puri , Swamini Sivananda Puri and Swami Sathyananda Puri are the Managing Trustee, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The President, Secretary and Treasurer of Sri Vallorakkavu Kshethra Samithi are other Trustees.

The trust started Sri Sankara Balasadanam in the year 2005 to take care of underprivileged boys and it was functioning well till 2018. We closed it in the year 2018 considering many practical aspects. The Trust is running Sri Sankara Vriddhaseva Kendram for old aged persons at Kolathur , Sri Sankara Vidyamandiram , a primary school for rural children at Kolathur , Sri Sankara Bhakta Nivas for devotees of advaithashramam at Kolathur , and centres of Vedanta studies at different places. These centres are Tapovanashramam ( Edaycode, Thiruvananthapuram), Sakthipatha Advaithashramam ( Kuzhiyam South, Chandanathoppe, Kollam), Sri Sankara Advaithashramam ( Anikkode, Mathur, Palakkad), Sri Sankara Sevashramam( Kodassery,Pandikkad, Malappuram), Naranarayana Advaithashramam ( Meenangadi, Wayanad), Santhisudha Sevashramam( Mathara, Olavanna, Kozhikkode), Sri Sarada Advaithashramam ( Asokapuram, Kozhikode) and Sadguru Nithyananda Ashramam ( Naduvannur, Kozhikkode).

The Trust is publishing a monthly magazine in Malayalam namely, Advaithasramam Sathsangam, registered with the Registrar of Newspapers for India New Delhi. The trust is also publishing books on Sanatana Dharma and Vedanta
